We first told you about Unclutter app for Mac back in February 2013, albeit briefly, in our second issue of The Platter. Unclutter was designed to keep the clutter off your Desktop by giving you a place to temporarily store your clipboard history, files and notes just above your Menubar and it did a stellar job at it. Since then, the developers have added several improvements to it and recently released Unclutter 2 on the Mac App Store. Best photo scanning app mac.
The biggest change in Unclutter 2 is essentially to the three separate apps living inside of it. In the first version, the Notes app would only let you create a single note. With Unclutter 2, you can now create as many notes as you want and view them right inside the app. You can even search within your notes and find any string of text you want. The Files panel has been vastly updated as well, with support for sorting your files by date added, date modified, name or kind. You can also now drag and drop files inside a folder that the panel contains. I love that you can make your Clipboard items as favorites inside the Clipboard panel and access them later using the Star glyph. Unclutter 2 also offers full support for multiple displays, one of my main annoyances with the original app.

Unclutter 2 also ships with a new, light design that goes with OS X Yosemite’s design. A dark version is currently being worked on. You can grab it from the Mac App Store for $4.99.
Unclutter Mac App Review
I’ve been using Unclutter on my Mac for awhile now, it’s a handy utility that stores files, notes, and your clipboard in a hidden spot at the top of your desktop, making it easy to quickly access your much-used information.
The Unclutter app for Mac helps get any dirty and unorganized desktop back into shape in a breeze. The interface is great an comes naturally. It stays as a little bar on the top of the screen. All you have to do drag and drop your stuff in there and it sorts it out for you in an easy and clean looking way. I’ve forgotten to share Unclutter with MacTrast readers, and that’s bad on me. It’s a handy little utility, developed by indie developer Eugene Krupnov, that I think many Mac users will find useful, and right now it’s available for only $1.99 in the Mac App Store. https://wchcjtp.weebly.com/blog/chrome-app-launcher-mac. To open Clutter, you simply move your mouse pointer to the very top of screen and scroll down. (Usually a two-finger drag down on a trackpad, it depends on how your preferences are set.) You can then drag items from other applications to the top of screen to store them in Unclutter. It also stores your Mac’s clipboard contents, as well as any notes you might want to type or paste into its handy notepad.
